Ring Re-shanking
Re-shanking of a ring may be required if a ring shank is worn too thin. When re-shanking a ring, the ring shank is cut at its thickest portion and a new piece of metal, appropriate in size, is added to create a more durable ring. Pricing is dependent upon the metal type, color, thickness, width and how much of the band being replaced. Services for a broken shank are also available and include soldering the shank back together, polishing and refinishing.
Ring Soldering
Soldering is a process in which two or more metal rings are joined together by melting solder into the joint to fix them as one piece. Soldering your rings together strengthens the bands on both rings and ensures the ring and band will remain perfectly aligned. In most cases, soldering is a reversible process that can be done with minimal risk to your rings. Pricing ranges from $87 to $210 and is determined by the metal type, number of rings being soldered together and the number of gems included in the ring.
Ring resizing alternatives are available when a ring is not sizeable through cutting. We offer ring guards and ring sizing balls as an option for sizing a ring down. A ring guard is a thin, removable strip of metal that is wrapped around the back of a ring. A sizing ball is soldered to the inside of the ring to fill in the gap between your finger and the ring.

Rings requiring a size difference more than two sizes may incur additional fees to size or have to be special ordered in the correct size.
